Grass 830: match the plate before replacing the hinge
The discontinued TEC 830 is a two-piece concealed face-frame hinge. Its cabinet-side mounting plate determines the door overlay. Find the stamped 830-XX number on that plate; a number on the hinge cup alone is not enough to select the replacement.
What replaces it?
Grass lists TEC 864 self-close and soft-close replacements by old plate number and overlay. The self-close models below come from Grass’s own chart. A different plate or measured overlay needs further checking.

Installation impact: RETROFIT REPLACEMENT
Grass’s installation sheet says the TEC 864 uses the existing cup bore, but its door-side mounting screw pattern differs. The old door-side screw holes may remain visible and new pilot holes are required. The cabinet frame’s original baseplate screw holes fit the replacement. Check the actual door and follow the manufacturer’s drilling instructions.

- Additional plate or spacer: not listed for these eight selected rows
Do not treat an 830 marking, cup diameter, or visual resemblance alone as a verified match. If the plate number is unknown, the measured overlay disagrees, or new drilling is unacceptable, the Finder returns NO VERIFIED MATCH.
